While it still feels very wintry outside, I wanted to take a look back at Jennie + Dave’s festive December 22nd wedding day! I share their love for the holidays and was over the moon when they chose us to photograph their love story. Even for their engagement session Jennie brought along a string of Christmas lights to use in a few photos – I knew then that they matched my love of Christmas. Not to mention the fact that they are also adorable together. Good things were in store! 

Jennie + Dave go together perfectly, just like pizza and beer, as their custom koozies reminded their guests on wedding day. They started their day getting ready alongside friends and family – the girls at the Chase Park Plaza Hotel and the guys at their home nearby. The excitement was contagious and they could not wait to see each other for their first look and begin the celebrations together! The Chase provided a breathtaking backdrop with its tree-lined lobby and custom gingerbread displays that filled the air with holiday cheer. Dave’s jaw visibly dropped when he saw how gorgeous Jennie looked. A first look for these two made sense since their ceremony was later in the evening and it allowed them to enjoy so much more of the day together – which I feel is always a good thing. 

After leaving the hotel we visited a few spots nearby in the CWE and Forest Park for pictures before the ceremony. Once we arrived at the Jewel Box for their ceremony we were surrounded by even more greenery and holiday touches. Guests enjoyed witnessing their sweet ceremony and cheers rang out as their officiant presented them as husband and wife. Following the ceremony we headed over to NEO for the cocktail hour and reception to begin. Jennie’s matron of honor and Dave’s best man brought the house down with their speeches, the fun only continued from there! This crew loved to dance and they had so many fun throwback songs on their playlist. I had not heard Chumbawumba in a long time and it brought back so many fun memories! 

I can not think of any way that Jennie + Dave’s wedding day could have been better. They pulled off a fantastic celebration and then shortly after were able to celebrate their first Christmas as newlyweds. It was such a pleasure working with them and we will not soon forget their festive day. Enjoy a closer look at their winter wedding!
